For a Hundred Years of Separation Continued...

The contracting firm chose flexible grey PVC pipes for transporting rainwater and red/brown PVC pipes for the domestic wastewater. House connections to the sewer services with the aid of PVC fittings were simply incorporated. Installation was easy and safe with light weight inspection chambers made from high density polyethylene (HDPE). Expensive heavy equipment was not required! PVC inspection chambers for domestic outlets completed the all-plastic solution.

This flexible system has generated a flexible solution. With colour coded pipelines for sewer and rainwater and double printing on the PVC pipes, the prospect of an identity crisis never occurred. Inspection chambers were delivered precisely on time and home connections to the respective central services could proceed efficiently. The municipality of Asse can now be assured of a network that will last at least 100 years!
