TEPPFA is delighted to announce its sponsorship of the Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) ‘Plastic Pavilion’, one of 15 SDG pavilions at the forthcoming UIA World Congress of Architects. TEPPFA National Association member Danish Plastics Federation (Plastindustrien) is a partner at the congress.
The UIA World Congress of Architects takes place in Copenhagen from 2 to 6 July 2023, and the Plastic Pavilion will showcase some great examples of sustainable products and solutions using several types of plastic pipes. The aim of the project is to explore how plastic can play a crucial role in building a sustainable future.
The Plastic Pavilion has been created in accordance with the UIA World Congress theme ‘Sustainable Futures – Leave No One Behind’ and it will serve as a venue for events, talks, exhibitions, public gatherings and more.
The sponsorship is an excellent opportunity to show how long life, durable, light weight and affordable plastic pipes inside buildings are essential today for the supply of drinking water and in sanitation. They have a low footprint, ensure safe energy when applying surface heating and cooling and create improved living environments.
Outside buildings, plastic pipes drain large rainwater volumes from flat roof tops quickly and efficiently. Rain gutters and downpipes help by harvesting rainwater and storing it to be re-used as grey household water and for irrigation during drought periods.
The Plastic Pavilion will be located on Gammel Strand in Copenhagen, Denmark from 19 June to 14 July 2023 and TEPPFA invites you all to visit it and learn about the unlimited possibilities of plastic in construction and innovation.
