OFI, the Austrian Research Institute for Chemistry and Technology, awards the 2020 H.F. Mark prize to Wolfgang Lux, Poloplast CEO and TEPPFA treasurer.

In memory of the world-famous chemist and plastics pioneer Hermann Franz Mark, OFI has presented the H.F. Mark medal since 1975 to personalities who have made exceptional contributions to the plastics and polymer technology.

The internationally renowned prize for 2020 was awarded to Wolfgang Lux, CEO of POLOPLAST, together with Prof. Dr. Nikolaos Hadjichristidis (King Abdullah University of Science and Technology, Saudi Arabia) and Ing. Günther Berghofer (i.R. ADLER-Werk Lackfabrik, Schwaz in Tirol).

Wolfgang Lux was honoured for his special services to the Austrian plastic pipe industry. “For decades, Wolfgang Lux has been committed to the various standards committees for quality assurance and standardization with a lot of passion. The constant further development of the industry is a genuine concern for him” explained the laudators Mag.
