TEPPFA, the leading voice of European manufacturers of plastic piping systems welcomes TeraPlast’s decision to renew its membership.
Teraplast SA is part of the TeraPlast Group, a leading PVC processor and supplier of building materials in Romania. It is part of the Teraplast Group with head offices in Bistrita Romania, and has been listed on the Bucharest Stock Exchange since 2008.
The company started as a manufacturer of ceramic tiles in 1896, entered the PVC pipe market in 1978 and was renamed Teraplast in 1990. Next to PVC pipes Teraplast SA also produces PVC window profiles and compounds. In 2009 polyolefin piping systems were added to the company’s product offering and today the Group is one of the largest PVC processors and a leading producer of materials for the installation, construction and design markets in Romania.
Ludo Debever, TEPPFA General Manager, said: “We are very pleased with TeraPlast’s decision to rejoin TEPPFA. It is good to see that our efforts to get plastic piping systems recognised as the most sustainable, high quality and long life solutions for critical infrastructure and essential services to society also reaches out to South East Europe. TeraPlast, headquartered in Romania, is the first company in this region to become a direct member company. The Group has successfully supplied plastic piping systems to the European market for more than 40 years. Through their plastic recycling activities Teraplast will contribute to TEPPFA’s commitments in the Circular Plastic Alliance and in VinylPlus. We look forward to a constructive cooperation.”
