TEPPFA, the leading voice representing plastic pipe systems and fittings across Europe, is pleased to announce that Silon has joined its membership base as an Associated Member.
Headquartered in Prague, Czech Republic, Silon is a prominent manufacturer of high-performance polyolefin-based compounds, serving a broad range of industrial sectors, including plastic pipes and fittings. Established in 1950 with an initial focus on polyamide and polyester fiber production, Silon transitioned in the 1980s toward polypropylene and polyethylene compounds.
Reflecting its strong focus on sustainability and innovation, Silon operates two specialised entities: Silon CZ Recycling, dedicated to circularity and responsible resource management, and Silon CZ R&D, established in 2024 to accelerate progress in material performance and sustainable polymer technologies.
With facilities in both Europe (Czech Republic) and the USA (Georgia), Silon supplies customers in over 40 countries and proudly employs hundreds of skilled professionals.
“Silon’s commitment to quality, innovation, and sustainability aligns perfectly with TEPPFA’s strategic vision for decarbonising the built environment and strengthening Europe’s water resilience. We are delighted to welcome Silon as an Associated Member and look forward to the contributions they will bring to TEPPFA’s growing community,” said Ludo Debever, TEPPFA General Manager.
“Joining TEPPFA is a strategic step for Silon, as it enables us to collaborate with leading European manufacturers of plastic pipe systems, share knowledge, and drive innovations aimed at greater sustainability. At the same time, we will actively contribute to shaping industry standards and legislation that define the future of our sector“, said Suchrat Saidov, Group CEO at Silon.
